Girraween Country Inn Ballandean, on the Granite Belt Highlands, is Stanthorpe’s finest boutique wedding venue. Situated on 40 acres of unspoilt Australian Bushland, adjoining the Girraween National Park and yet, in the heart of the district’s award winning vineyards. The Inn offers you a secluded and unique venue for your wedding your very special day.
The grounds lend themselves to an open air ceremony and, churches of Anglican and Catholic denominations are in close vicinity. The Inn sports various fireplaces througout the building for the cold winter months and in the summer months the Inn is delightfully cool. The restaurant is fully licensed and comfortably seats 80 guests and, has an attractive fireplace, the Ricco Room a small Reception room for pre-wedding drinks and canapes has an open firelace.
With regard to accommodation, the Inn can accommodate the Wedding Party and selected friends of up to twenty eight people, combining seven K rooms one Q a four-poster and a Chalet. There are many other accommoation places close by for further wedding guests. Sole use of the premises gives you, your exclusive private place, a place to truly relax and enjoy your very special day.

The large, timber homestead houses our two function rooms, foyer, cellar bar and guest lounge. The timber décor throughout the homestead provides a cosy and rustic charm. With 20 timber cabins on site, your guests will relax knowing they don’t have to drive home after your reception. For smaller, more intimate weddings, why not book out the whole retreat and make your wedding a two or three day event?
With so much to do and see around the Granite Belt region, your guests will remember your wedding event forever. We are only too happy to assist with organising day trips to the National Parks, Wine Tours and visits to local produce outlets. Our experienced kitchen team have created various menus to ensure every palate and budget is catered for and our friendly wait staff offer efficient service with a smile. The Queensland College of Wine Tourism opened its doors in March 2007 and provides Stanthorpe not only with a state-of-the-art education and training facility, but a fantastic conference venue to hold your wedding ceremony or reception.

Set in grounds of lush orchards and vineyards, the surrounds provide ample space for photo opportunities and offer your guests a taste of what Stanthorpe is all about!

The college provides full use of the venue for up to 130 of your guests. This includes the courtyard, bistro and function rooms, and a deck overlooking the vineyards and spring fed dam. Wedding marquees "on the green" can also be arranged.

Our chefs can cater for all your guests and we can provide you with amazing menu combinations that are sure to please…
